The individuals need to mail the documentation and Form W-7 to the official address or present all the documents at the IRS walk-in offices. You can also apply for ITIN through an acceptance agent authorized by the IRS.

Employer Identification Number (EIN) is also known as the Federal Employer Identification Number. It is issued by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to business entities operating in the United States for the identification process. As the citizens of the U.S. have SSN to identify themselves, it’s the same for businesses; businesses Obtain an EIN to identify themselves as business entities. The EIN provided to the company is never reissued for any other business for their identification.
